    2010 football coaches

    Athletic Director

    Coach Rusty Price has been Athletic Director and Head Football Coach since
    1984. Because of his rigorous training program and no-nonsense attitude,
    Broadmoor's football teams are well known for their impressive performances,
    even when far outnumbered and apparently outmanned. Coach Price has been
    named District Coach of the Year and Parish Coach of the year numerous times.
    His academic fields are Biology and Physical Education. At Southeastern Louisiana
    University, he was an All-American in the hammer throw and NCAA runner-up in
    the discus throw. He is also an honored member of the SLU Athletic Hall of Fame.
    As a United States Marine during the Vietnam War, he was awarded three Purple
    Hearts and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Both Coach Price and his wife, Marline
    are Broadmoor graduates.

    Alan Brown

    Defensive Coordinator. He has 33 years of coaching experience and has worked
    in the Baton Rouge area since 1975 and previously at BHS from 1987 to 1996.
    Alan is married to Ann, and they are the parents of Beth and Alan Jr. He enjoys
    golf and carpentry. His favorite sogan is "Hard work pays off". Alan is a 1970
    graduate of Mississippi State University.

    Terrence Gillette

    Head Girls Basketball, Asst. Volleyball

    Coach Gillette has been at Broadmoor since 2002. He is the asst. Volleyball
    and head girls basketball coach. He is married to Decoe and has 1 daughter
    Kiersten. He enjoys going out to eat and nice quiet time with family. His
    favorite novel is The Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison.

    Tim Gonda

    Inducted into the Louisiana Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame in 2002, Tim Gonda
    has been with BHS since 1980. He is Athletic Trainer to all our athletes. He
    graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1979. His hobbies are
    hunting and fishing. He is the TOR coordinator during the day. Coach Gonda is
    married to Robin and the have one son, Todd.

    Larry Grayson

    Coach Grayson has been here since 1996. He is the Head Basketball coach
    and works with the offensive line and the linebackers in football. He is a
    graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and received his
    Masters at LSU. While his hobbies include gardening and listening to music,
    his family rates #1 on his list. He is married to Buffie and the have two sons,
    Chris and Stuart. Coach Grayson also teaches Social Studies.

    Paul Greer

    Paul has been at Broadmoor since 2003. He is the Head Baseball Coach and
     teaches Algebra. He and his lovely wife, Phyllis, have 5 children and 13
    grandchildren. Previous to Broadmoor he taught and coached in Lake Charles,
    LA and Houston, TX. He received his BS in education from Liberty University,
    his MA in Counseling from Louisiana Christian University, his MA in Teaching
    from Southeaster Louisiana University, and is currently pursuing an Ed.D from
    SELU. Faith and family are paramount in his life and pursuits, and he adheres
    to the axiom, "The urge to continue to learn is more important than anything
    you have learned thus far".

    M.A.Gonzalez

    Coach Gonzalez is the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Softball Coach.
    She received a B.S. from Southeastern University and a M.A from Framingham
    State College. She teaches Physical Education. She is married to Chanis and
    has one daugher, Alexis.

    Chuck Guidry
    Coach Guidry is the Soccer Head Coach. He came to us from Lee High School in 2007.
    Kris Guidry
    Kristin Guidry started at BHS in 2011 and teaches English. She is the Cross
    Country Girls' Track coach and is also Asst. Soccer Coach.
    Gilberto Ayon-Martin

    Gilberto Ayon-Martin joined the Faculty of Broadmoor High in September 2011.
    He was born and raised in Havana, Cuba and now lives with his family in
    Lafayette,LA. He commutes to Baton Rouge on a weekly basis and is the
    Assistant Baseball Coach in charge of the JV team. He received extensive
    baseball training in his native Cuba, a country well-known for its baseball
    achievements. Mr.Martin, as we call him at Broadmoor, has played baseball
    for over 25 years and loves the game. He has also been trained in the Martial
    Arts and has a black belt in Judo, second dan.
    Mr. Martin teaches Spanish II.

     

    Jesse L.Smith
    Jesse Smith is the Defensive Line Coach. He has a total of 11 1/2 years
    of coaching experience and enjoys basketball, biking, and swimming. He
    is married to Paula and has a son, Anton. Jesse believes that "if you
    maintain your confidence; you will reap great rewards".
    Elliott Wilkins

    Head Girls Track Coach, he is assistant baseball and football coach as well.
    Coach Wilkins is a Broadmoor graduate who got his BA from Southern
    University. He has been at BHS since 1997. His hobbies are lifting weights,
    playing basketball and watching golf on TV.
