 The Broadmoor High School class of 1968 is working on their 40 year reunion. They are trying to find phone numbers and e-mail addresses, so far the reunion is scheduled for June 13th at the Past Time and June 14th at the Walden Club House, it will be casual.  They are working from the list made from their 30 year reunion in 1998 any help in getting the word out and finding people would be appreciated Celia Pope, (926-6092 Cpope20@cox.net ) and Sharon Pol (767-5402 spol@cox.net) are the contact persons and they are maintaining the master list as they find people. One of their classmates is Coach Price's wife.

The class of 1991 got together for a 15yr reunion at the Capitol House Rest downtown this past November and they also had a picnic the next day. It was great to see everybody!

OBITUARIES:

 

 

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Mrs.Gladys Joffrion, Math Teacher at BHS from 1970 to 1982. Mrs.Joffrion died on 1/31/2006.
And the world's greatest Social Studies teacher:  Mrs.JoAnn Gauthier passed away on June 11, 2006.
Broadmoor Art Teacher Mrs.Iris Curry passed away Saturday, March 7, 2008.

Mary Grace Brewer Begley--Biology teacher at BHS for many years, passed away Aug.9, 2008. Please keep the family in your prayers and all the former students who will miss her tremendously
Choir News

ATTENTION ALL CHOIR ALUMNI:
Remember:

  • 1982- BHS Choir represented the US at    the International Choir Festival in Belgium
  • 1985- BHS Denims and Diamonds represented LA in the National Show Choir Festival in CA.

The whole state of LA supported these efforts and helped raise the money for these kids. Please help the EBRP Children's Choir raise the $50,000.00 they need to travel to Jamestown and represent the State of LA. Click HERE to see the newspaper article in the advocate or go to the Choir's website.

Courtesy of the School Newspaper: THE BROADMOOR BLADE continues to track former students and learn of what has become of their lives since high school graduation. Below is a short list of some of those alumni:

Nick Watson (2003) is a student at LSU majoring in pre-pharmacy. Set to graduate on time, he plans to finish his post-bachelor work at the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Pharmacy School or at Xavier University in New Orleans.

Earl Wheeler (2002) is a junior majoring in mechanical engineering at LSU.

Pvt. Cotton Villar (2005) is now a member of the U.S.Army's Military Police stationed in Kentucky.

Paul Coryell  (2002) is a senior at LSU majoring in construction management. He recently passed his physical to play spring football after sitting out last season due to a back injury.

Andy Huynh (2005) is a freshman at BRCC majoring in liberal arts and is a member of the International Club.

Drew Wallace (2005) is a student majoring in architecture at LSU with a 3.76 grade point average.
